SynergyGrids: blockchain-supported distributed microgrid energy trading

Abstract Growing intelligent cities is witnessing an increasing amount of local energy generation through renewable resources. Energy trade among the generators ( aka prosumers) and consumers can reduce consumption cost also dependency on conventional resources, not to mention environmental, economic, societal benefits. However, these sources might be enough fulfill demands. A hybrid approach, where buy from both prosumers (that generate energy) prosumer other locations, essential. centralized system used manage this trading that faces several security issues increase development cost. In paper, a coupled with smart contract named SynergyGrids has been proposed as solution, reduces average load over utility grids. To best our knowledge, work first attempt create platform for demand prediction. An hourly data set utilized testing validation purposes. The shows 17.8% decrease in 76.4% grids when compared its counterparts.
